In the Ministry of Internal Affairs "House of Arts and Education" received special prize of the EU Crime Prevention Network

 

Minister R. Palaitis expressed his enthusiasm about the award.

17 projects participated in the contest, the main prize was awarded for the German project. Forum theatre - without violence received a special award.

The aim of this long lasting project was to strengthen resistance among young people.

„Forumo teatro” vadovės, aktorės R. Vaičekonytės teigimu, toks nusikaltimų prevencijos metodas nėra naujas. „Socialinis diskusijų teatras yra taikomas daugelyje šalių. Jis unikalus tuo, kad spektaklių metu jaunimas mato savo problemas, gali keisti spektaklio eigą, jį režisuoti ir taip spręsti įvairius klausimus, jie tarytum „repetuoja” savo gyvenimą”, – teigia ji.

27 schools participated in the project in the course of 6 years.
